markers pens for young children in preschools and childcare

Sunny Markers are marker pens that are short and thick in shape and size.

The markers are designed to support children to improve their fine motor skills and develop a functional pen grasp.

The wider barrel of our markers puts less strain on young children’s hand and finger muscles, making it easier to grip for a sustained time. The textured grip around the middle of the marker provides comfort.

Improving fine motor skills means children can progress more confidently and independently to do things like using pens, pencils, scissors, doing up buttons and opening and closing lunchboxes.

These markers are great for very young children. The markers are also popular with teacher aides and learning support workers in NZ Aotearoa who are supporting children with additional needs in supporting fine motor skill practice and development.
