Privacy Policy

Members are asked to respect the privacy of other members and not share, republish, or in any other way disclose any member comments without the permission of both the member and the OECE.

The personal information and details you give us when applying for a user/member account are collected to assist you when for example, you have lost your account information, and to control your access to areas of the website you are or are not entitled to access. You have a right to request to receive a copy of your details held, and to correct, amend, or delete these.

We will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information that we hold from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access.  If you suspect any misuse or loss of, or unauthorised access to, your personal information, please let us know immediately. If you believe your privacy has been breached by us, or have any questions or concerns regarding the Privacy Policy, please contact us so we can investigate this and take steps to put things right.

Contact details are collected strictly for use by the OECE, with some exceptions.  We support our Service Provider members to get free advertising/ promotion on the parents’ website by requesting inclusion of their service/s contact details (phone, website, email address) in My ECE service listings and may share contact details with My ECE. Should you not wish to receive this member benefit, please let us know.

Contact details held by OECE may be given to another member, where this is requested, if the request is communicated to be of a personal and potentially mutually benefiting nature (e.g., for collaboration on a research project or an invitation to be a speaker at an upcoming conference).

Newsletter subscribers may unsubscribe at any time.  You may do this by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ in any newsletter sent to you, or reply to us with ‘unsubscribe’ in the subject line.

Members can ask for their account to be closed and their details removed from the membership system by contacting us and making this request.  If you do not receive confirmation from us that this has been done, please follow-up and send a written request to the OECE, PO Box 58-078, Porirua 5245, NZ.

The publication of email addresses on this website does not give consent to unsolicited email. Any emails sent to the OCECE and/or to any individuals or organisations whose email addresses appear on this site must comply with the requirements of the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.

The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js,analytics.js and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.
