In addition to those shown in the table below, the Ministry of Education withdrew the licences of
- 13 Lighthouse @ Home early childhood services, and
- 3 Oaktree Home early childhood services
but withheld information on why the licences for these 16 services were withdrawn as releasing the information would “likely prejudice the maintenance of the law, including the right to a fair trial.”
154 early childhood services were placed on a provisional licence and 6 had their licence withdrawn in 2017 (1 Jan – 31 Dec 2017) due to failure to comply with regulations and licensing requirements.
Licensing information and breaches is public information. Every ECE service must prominently display its licence and any conditions placed on it for parents/ caregivers and visitors to read and check.
