Pay parity for all early childhood teachers with school teachers is one of the biggest issues facing our sector.
Paying staff less than they worth has resulted in centres experiencing problems with staff retention and recruitment. It impacts significantly on children and their ability to form stable and trusting relationships with those who are caring for them. It affects the quality of early childhood education and care provided.
